CONTRACT FROM MIKHAILOVSKI MINING AND PELLETIZING WORKS – RUSSIA
July 3, 2003 Metal 7 confirms the signing of a contract for the supply of one complete roller screen to the pellet plant of Mikhailovski Mining and Pelletizing Works located in Zheleznogorsk City, Koursk Region, Russia. This plant operates now with vibrating screens at the discharge of their fourteen balling drums.
This first screen will be operated for some months for performance evaluation. Following this testing period, the management of the plant will take a decision for the conversion of the remaining 13 balling lines.
The roller screen will be assembled with seventy seven (77) rollers of 76.2 mm X 2300 mm. Metal 7 will also supply 10 rollers with abrasion resistant coatings. The confirmation of the performance of the coating on the rollers will eventually lead to the conversion of the screen to smaller diameter rollers (63,5 mm) to increase even more the screening capacity of the unit.
The equipment should be delivered to this Russian plant in September 2003.
This contract is the second significant contract Metal 7 is obtaining from Russian iron ore producers after the one with Karelski Okatysh from Kostomuksha completed in 2002.
