Installation of Roller Decks commenced at Mikhailovski Mining and Pelletizing Works JSC

September 8, 2004 – Installation of Roller Decks produced by Canadian Company Metal 7 Inc. has begun at Pellet Plant of Mikhailovski Mining and Pelletizing Works JSC. Installation takes place under the Program of Reconstruction of Pelletizing lines.

Roller Decks are designed for removal of non-standard green pellets (standard -5-16 mm) prior to induration process. Substantial increase of productivity of induration machines will be as a result of application of modern technological lines. As of today due to use of roller deck on one of the balling lines yield of standard pellets comes to 95-96%. Before application of roller decks yield of final pellets did not exceed 82%.

According to Mr. Boris Borisenko, Manager of Pellet Plant, application of new installations gives an opportunity to the Company to significantly increase quality of the product because of improving of physical properties of pellets: proper shape, light roughness of surface, low wearability, high yield of standard class. Reconstruction of facilities will go on till the end of 2006 and this year another 5 lines will be converted to new roller decks.
